We value our relationship with you as an Illumina Authorized Channel Partner and recognize your importance to our continued success.

The following guidelines and resources were created to help you accelerate co-branding activities and guide the use of the Illumina brand.

Demonstrating our partnership

As an Illumina Authorized Channel Partner, leverage these guidelines to create equal representation between your brand and Illumina's.

When using the Illumina brand in your marketing:
  • Position your logo and the Illumina Authorized Channel Partner logo equally in marketing materials
  • Make your contact information clear to customers
  • Follow Illumina guidelines on positioning and sizing of images and content
  • Do not modify assets provided in the Illumina brand
When using or developing your own marketing materials:
  • Only use the Illumina Authorized Channel Partner logo
  • Only use the Illumina provided product images
  • Do not modify assets provided in the Illumina brand
  • Do not make changes to Illumina content without written approval from Illumina

Logos

Our brand mark is our most distinctive asset. These guidelines were created to empower you to use the Illumina Authorized Channel Partner logo correctly, making it easy to recognize and read across all mediums. Use the following guidelines when applying an Illumina Authorized Channel Partner logo to your marketing materials.

Using the Illumina Authorized Channel Partner logo

The new Illumina Authorized Channel Partner logo is designed for use as the standard logo. Please use this logo whenever possible.

Use the logo set on a plain white background or an illumina approved branded light field background. Avoid using the logo on black or non-approved color backgrounds. Always use the original logo and approved art. Do not alter or attempt to recreate the logo.

Watch outs

Please use approved logo files. Do not reproduce the logo with text.

Do not change the color of the logo.

Do not use a transparency or a screen of the logo.

Do not rotate the logo.

Do not place the logo on non-approved illumina creative.

Do not enclose the logo in a shape.

Do not use the logo on a solid colored or dark background, especially black.

Do not add embellishments such as drop shadows.

Do not stretch the logo.

Do not overlay anything on top of the logo.

Illumina Authorized Channel Partner logo sizing

The logo should be used as an identifying accent, not as artwork or a headline. It should have a minimum width of 1.5” or 112px but should fill no more than 1/5 of the page width.

Logo should be no more than 1/5 of the page width for documents 8.5" × 11" or larger.

Illumina Authorized Channel Partner logo clear space

Clear space is defined as the area around the logo and the distance between the logo and the edge of any printed piece. The clear space must be:

The minimum clear space is equal to 1.5x the height of the letter “i” in the logo.

Messaging Themes guide what we say.

Our four core Messaging Themes are what we want people to understand whenever they interact with our brand. They’re not the actual copy; they’re the ideas behind the copy.

A few things to know about our Messaging Themes:
  • They’re designed to be true today and stay true as our business grows in the future.
  • They all work together to tell our story, but sometimes we might lean further into one or the other, depending on the context.
  • We always back up our Messaging Themes with proof, making sure what we say and what we do are aligned.

1. This changes everything.

Genomics is the single most important revolution of our time. It’s transforming every industry there is, from healthcare to agriculture to ecology. And these breakthroughs have real implications for real people. So let’s share how passionate we are about how genomics can change the world—and how confident we are that it will.

2. Utility for all.

Making genomics useful for all is our purpose (and our promise). Whether it’s a researcher working toward her next discovery or a patient in search of clarity, let’s let people know that we can help people find not only information, but also answers. That access is one thing, but utility is what makes the real difference. And because utility isn’t just about what we say, let’s make sure everything we do makes a communication, an offering, an insight more useful.

3. Our work is never done.

We’ve made great strides in the field of genomics, and we’re just getting started. We’re eager to unlock the full potential of the genome, no matter how long it takes. So when we write, let’s let people know we’re relentlessly working to understand the science and improve our technology in service of all the people pushing genomics forward.

4. One genomics movement.

This movement belongs to all of us—to the people who work at it every day and to the lives it touches. Without the perseverance of our scientists, the compassion of our doctors, and the strength of our patients, progress would be impossible. Our words should tell people we know we can’t do this alone, and show them we’re here to support every step forward, big or small.

Using Illumina product photography

In addition to single product imagery, we have also provided the following portfolio imagery: all sequencing, all Dx, and arrays.

Product photography should accurately depict the dimensions and structure of Illumina products.

Copyright information must be maintained on all photographs and images provided by Illumina.

The following footnotes shall be added on every piece of collateral displaying an image or mentioning by name an Illumina Research Use Only (RUO) product or Diagnostic (Dx) product.

Data sheet

The data sheet provides high-level benefits of a system, assay, or other product, including performance metrics, data, and ordering information. These materials are important in helping customers realize the full potential of our products as supported by data.

Here is an example of the standard data sheet layout provided by Illumina. The data sheet is a branded Illumina asset. As such, the content cannot be modified.

Your logo and contact information are the only details you can add to a data sheet. Your company logo should go on the bottom right corner of the last page.

Business cards

Since many of our Authorized Channel Partners prefer to include
the Illumina logo on their business cards, please see the below guidance for doing so:

  • Use your own business card template.
  • Do not use the Illumina business card as your template.
  • Use the Illumina Authorized Channel Partner logo.
  • Ensure the Illumina Authorized Channel Partner logo is the same size as your logo.
